He was predeceased by : his parents, Gene Mogensen and Shirlee Mogensen (McClary); his brother Dennis Mogensen; and his close friends, Patrick Hirschman and Scoot Stolen.

He is survived by : his wife LouAnn Mulvihill of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; his son Dane Mogensen of Sioux City, Iowa; his sister Cherie Mogensen of Mesa, Arizona; his sister-in-law Jane Mogensen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and his nieces and nephews, Joel Mogensen (Caitlyn), Becky Valencia (Austin), Jacob Mogensen and Aimee Vondrak.
