It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ernest Schmitz of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, who passed away on October 6, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Schmitz and Hildegard Schmitz. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Decker; and his children, Earl Schmitz (Bonnie), Colleen Mahaney (Todd) and Jack Jensen (Cyndi). He is also survived by five grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
