It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gerald Michael Roder of Sibley, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 86, on November 15, 2020. He was predeceased by : his mother Sylvia Roder; his grandson Trace Roder; his siblings, James and Janice Klein; his niece Julie Roder; and his nephew Michael Roder.

He is survived by : his wife Clarice Klein of Remsen; his children, Tom (Sharol), Lori (Tim), Roger (Debbie), Dale (Jane), Vicki (Roger), Doug Lawton (Paula) and Ryan (Stephanie); his siblings, Dick Remsen (Mary), Paul (Betty) and Karen Schemmel (Denny); and his sisters-in-law, Helen Roder Ballwin and Jean. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation with family present will be Monday from 4-6:30 p. m. at the church, with a vigil prayer service at 5 p. m. masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

In lieu of flowers and other memorials, please consider donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville, Spalding Catholic School, Alton and the Bavarian Meadows Assisted Living Home (ice cream machine fund), Remsen.
