He is survived by : his wife Karen Dagel (Stallmann); his children, James "Mike" Whitham (Ashley) and Christine R. Staab; his grandchildren, Madison, Logan Whitham, Joshua, Jackson and Emma Staab; his stepchildren, Jed, Adam, Luke and Wyatt Dagel; and his stepgrandchildren, Kelsey, Taylor, Tristan, Natalie and John Dagel.

“In loving memory of James Robert Whitham Jr., To someone who I once knew as my 'Uncle Jim' many years ago. Seeing the photo, along with the announcement that this big, burly and gentle soul I knew some 29 years ago had passed, made my heart hurt. My mother is Delpha's only child and Grandpa Buck was always 'pop'. When they were both gone, I suppose time & distance took their place. Sending my biggest 'Uncle Jim' hug back to you. God bless.
