Marvin E. Runia Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2020, at the age of 81, Marvin E. Runia (Sibley, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Runia and Gertie Runia (Ketel); his parents-in-law, Jake and Min Ver Steeg; his siblings, LaVera Krikke, Lloyd Runia and Marlene Runia; and his siblings-in-law, Jake Krikke, Kriene Schniedermann, Donald Ver Steeg and Wilma Ver Steeg.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Ver Steeg; his children, Brenda Kuhl (Charlie), Karen Floyd (Craig), Marlin (Kathy), Lora Hahka (Larry) and Julie (Chris Wilson); his grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew (Bailey), Kati and Maranda; his great grandchildren, Lilly and Rose; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Runia and Marilyn Schniedermann. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the First Reformed Church of Sibley and/or the Osceola Regional Health Center of Sibley.
