It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlin Bender of Sidney, Iowa, born in Laurens, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Leo Bender and Helen Anna Bender (Peterson); and his brother Robert Bender. He is survived by : his wife Jill Bender of Sidney, IA; his children, Sheila Bender of Carroll, IA, Jenny Bender of Nebraska City, NE, Jim Bender (Jeanette) of Carroll and Erik Bender (Trisha) of Nebraska City; his grandchildren, Brady, Noah, Levi, Kenzie, Lexi and Brooke Bender; and his brother Denny Bender of Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will go to the family.
