She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob W. Steenwyk and Ida Van Steenwyk (Van Ek); her daughter Mariam Muth; her siblings, Norm Van Steenwyk and Elma Dykstra; and her brother-in-law Wesley Dykstra.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Kwikkel of Sioux Center; her son Kenneth J. Kwikkel of Sioux Center; and her son-in-law Ronald Muth of Ireton. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
