He is survived by: his former wife Gertrude Van Beek; his wife Gertrude Gaalswyk of Sibley, IA; his children, Terry Gaalswyk (Sherry) of Worthington, MN, Timothy Gaalswyk (Jennifer) of Lancaster, PA, Jamiey Daiker of Sibley, IA, Scott Gaalswyk (Jennifer) of Canton, SD and Russell Gaalswyk (Amanda Luhmann) of Sibley, IA; his pet Annie; his siblings, Beverly DeVries (Merlyn) of Naples, FL, Joanne Dorhout of Cedar Falls, IA and Margene Raak (Eugene) of Edgerton, MN; and his brother-in-law Ron Walker of Crooks, SD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family wish memorials to be designated at a later date.
