She was predeceased by: her parents, Jefferson Broady and Dorothy Broady (Glenn); her husband Lester Lee Cowell; her brother Jefferson G Broady; and her daughter-in-law Pam Cowell.

She is survived by: her children, Paul Cowell (Brenda), Larry Cowell, Michael Cowell (Sirpa), Kevin Cowell (Cecilia) and Jennifer Sander (Rocky); and her siblings, Virginia Broady (Rod) and Steve Broady (Cathy). She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren.
