It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernice Chesie Mazur of Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Marecki and Veronica Marecki; her husband John Mazur; her sister Jeanette Orth; her brother-in-law Phil Orth; and her granddaughter Sarah Hesse.
She is survived by: her sons, John (Nancy) of Pahrump, NV and Rob (Semakaleng) of Mount Vernon, WA; her niece Becky Jacobs (George); her nephews, Andy Orth, Phillip Orth (Lori) and Tom Orth (Kandace); her grandchildren, JC, Jeff, Michael, Neo, Thabisa and Tsolo; and her great grandchildren, Zach, Isabel, Maddox and Mason.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Chapel (1701 W 25th St, Sioux City, IA 51103). A rosary will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of your choice in memory of Bernice Mazur.
