With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delbert Lee Spiegel of Sioux City, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lee and Vera Emily Spiegel (McGranahan); and his siblings, Carole Ackerman (Spiegel), John Spiegel and Donna Spiegel.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Debbie Beauchene (Doug) of Rochester, MN, Jenny Stabile (Jerry) of Raleigh, NC, Julie Johnson (Doug) of Hinton, IA and Ben Spiegel (Sharon) of Steamboat Springs, CO; and his grandchildren, Jake Beauchene (Molly), Andrew Beauchene, Shannon Steeves (David), Alexis Kistner (Kory), Megan Garmatz (Johnny), Sammy Stabile, Taylor Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Ashley Spiegel, Alex Spiegel and Logan Spiegel. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, four nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (1915 Nebraska St, Sioux City, IA 51104).
