It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Augusta Swanson of Sioux City, Iowa, born in Akron, Iowa, who passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Otto Popken and Emma Popken (Schwarting); her husband Gordon R. Swanson; her son Craig C. Swanson; her siblings, Bill, Gertrude and Lenora; her son Scott (Kat); her granddaughter Erica Hancock (Will); and her great grandchild Jaxon.
