He was predeceased by: his father David Polak; his wife Maxine Maxon; his mother Henriette Guffanti (Boquet); his stepparents, Serafino Guffanti and Anna Polak; and his great grandchild Keaton Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Jones of Sioux City, IA, George Jr. (Deana Polak), Steve (Sandy Polak) and Pam Polak (Mark Williams); and his sister Trudy Soncrant (Bill White). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Siouxland Center for Active Generations or Westlawn Presbyterian Church in memory of George.
