With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVonne (Dey) Foltz Spielman of Sioux City, Iowa, born in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, who passed away on May 28, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Dey and Daisy Dey (Patterson); her husbands, Lyle Foltz and Emil Spielman; her sister Norma Jean Dey; and her brothers-in-law, Andy Thorn and Gerald Cummins.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Foltz of Akron, IA, Deborah Obermann (Steve) of Owensboro, KY and Stan Foltz (Jana) of Elk Point, SD; her stepchildren, Dan Spielman (Carol), Larry Spielman (Donna), Joan Spielman, Patti Spielman, Brian Spielman (Lori) and Marie Hudson (Brad); and her sisters, DeVota Thorn of Rapid City, SD and Grace Cummins of Arnolds Park, IA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
