He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Guffy and Elsie Guffy; his parents-in-law, Walter and Bonnie Macklem; his daughter Christy Lynn Guffy; his brother James Earl Guffy; and his brothers-in-law, Virgil Kunkel and LeRoy Bates.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Guffy; his children, Stacy Myers (Cody) of Lawton and Travis Guffy of Bronson, Iowa; his grandchildren, Avery, Brenna Myers and Lauren Steen (Paisley); his siblings, Sharon Kunkel of Bronson, Iowa, Joan Bates of Bronson, Iowa and Leroy Guffy (Brenda) of Sioux City, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Macklem (Paula) of Inman and Sue Birks (Pat) of Sioux City, Iowa. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
