She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell B. Capps and Retha Capps; her husband Irwin D. Gibbs; her son Donald Lee Gibbs; her siblings, Russell B. Capps, Jr. (Evelyn) and Margaret Capps Cartwright (Walter); and her brothers-in-law, Lee Gibbs (Helen), Merle Gibbs (Dorothy), Howard Gibbs (Darlene) and Albert Gibbs (Pauline).
She is survived by: her sister Glenda Lane of Virginia Beach; her sister-in-law Glenda Gibbs Kuhlmann (Dale) of Idaho; her sons, Michael Lynn Gibbs (Patricia) of Sioux City and Larry Dale Gibbs (June) of Tennessee; and her daughter-in-law Sherol Gibbs. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Newcastle Cemetery.
