It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald James Kohout of Solon, Iowa, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald James Kohout to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Kohout and Libbie Kohout (Kasparek); his siblings, Milver Kohout (Marjorie) and Maxine Hennessy (Raymond); and his nephew James Kohout.

He is survived by: his nephews, Paul Kohout (Betty) and Terry Kohout; and his niece Jean Novak (Steve). He is also survived by eight grand nieces and nephews; and eleven great-grand nieces and nephews.

The family has asked everyone in attendance to please wear a mask as well as practice social distancing.
