It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Barta (Solon, Iowa), born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on May 24, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Barta and Mary Barta (Balik); his wife Jean; and his sister Agnes Sova. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Barta (Doreen) of Cedar Rapids and Nancy Menefee (Mark) of Prescott; his grandchildren, John Metz, Bradley Metz and Jami Wingert (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Andrew Wingert, Avery Wingert, Taylor Metz and Sydney Metz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
