With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Dean Pierson (Spencer, Iowa), who passed away on December 9, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy H. Pierson and Amanda Pierson (Woelenberg); his wife Donna Hansen; his parents-in-law, Rexford and Erma Hansen; and his sister-in-law Karole Graen.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Kathy Decker) of Greenville, IA and Brad (Tracey Pierson) of Spencer, IA; his grandchildren, Brooke Pierson, Jennifer, Nick Yetmar of Ames, IA, Mark and Alexis Malm of Ft. Dodge, IA; his great grandchildren, Tavian, Tamiya, Joshua, Messiah, Adalynn and Milan; and his brother-in-law Jack Graen of Arizona. He is also survived by numerous friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in Dick's name.
