He was predeceased by: his father Tim Hogan; his wife Gretchen Parks; his son Carl; his grandson Tyler Paul Tewes; and his siblings, Ralph, Ronald, Cecile Noteboom, Carol Williams, Ruby Hemmingson, Rose McGuire, Ruth Rupert and Carrie Tuttle.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jason Birchard, Nate Wise, Chris Wise and Ben Wise; his children, Laurie Tewes (John) of Sioux Rapids, IA, Heidi Chapman (Sam) of Spencer, Gregory (LaDonna) of Spencer and Cari Crooks (Jeff) of Spencer; his grandchildren, Matt Chapman (Shelby), Emily Axdahl (Chris), Adam Chapman (Sarah), Jacob Chapman (Rochelle), Brady Tewes (Kayla), Jordan Tewes (Brooke), Josh Birchard (Monica), Nick Birchard (Michelle), Mike Crooks (Heidi), Brandon Crooks (Brittney) and Phil Crooks (Alex); and his sisters-in-law, Madelon DeVries and Lorraine "Sis" Birchard.
