Delbert Wiersma Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delbert Wiersma of Spirit Lake, Iowa, who passed away on April 3, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wiersma and Dorothy Johanna Wiersma (Vande Berg); his wife Audrey Kay Vander Zwaag; his daughter Denice De Goei; and his brother Wendell Wiersma.

He is survived by: his children, LaRoy (Dawn Wiersma), John (Kim Wiersma) and Andrea (Doug Grossmann); his son-in-law Scott De Goei; his grandchildren, Heather (Matt Waldschmitt), Rachel (Nick Tanner), Allen De Goei, Brooke Wiersma (Sergio Huerta), Colton Wiersma, Caden Wiersma, Noah Wiersma (Bethany), Jonah Wiersma, Jeremiah Wiersma, Hannah Wiersma and Aubree Grossmann (Kai Waters); his great grandchildren, Tayten, Mauer, Audrey Grace Tanner, Ellie Kay and Everett Waldschmitt; his brother Gary (Alice Wiersma); and his sister-in-law Janet Wiersma.

Memorials will be given to the family for future designation.
