He was predeceased by: his parents, Knute Espelund and Mary Espelund; his siblings, Richard, Yvonne and Jane; and his grandchildren, Emma and Asher.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his brother James; his children, Kim, Kelly, Karri, Tom, Ben, Josh and Luke; and his grandchildren, Mellisa, Matt, Rachael, Rebecca, Nick, John, Jeniffer, Jeremy, Justin, Harper, Lucy, Oliver and Charlotte. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
