He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hurd and Eva Hurd (Berry); and his children, Bob, Randy and Linda.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hurd of Spirit Lake; and his daughters, Deb Coleman of Superior and Judi Parsons (John Willard) of Lewisville, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
