He was predeceased by : his siblings, Irma, Irene and Leo; his daughter Peggy Darrah (Neppel); and his parents, Engelbert Neppel and Apollonia Neppel (Thelen).
He is survived by : his wife Alice Caroline Neppel (Simon); his children, Paula Richter (Herman) of Milford, Christine Olney (Ron) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Mark Neppel (Ann) of Dolliver, Iowa, Mary Alice McClelland (John) of McHenry, Illinois and John Paul Neppel (Becky Morgan) of Oak Park, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Matt, Mia, Mark Richter, Hannah Olney Schoneman (Jason), Beth Olney Muggli (Joe), Michael Neppel, Julie Neppel Lovell (David), Grace Vaziri (Christopher Sullivan), Grant Vaziri, Olivia, Ryan, Lucas and Charlotte Neppel; his great grandchildren, Indigo, Aloria Schoneman, River, Rowan Muggli, Ryder, Hazel and Graham Lovell; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Neppl of Chatfield and Faith Simon of Sacramento. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
