She was predeceased by : her parents, Glen Birdsell and Thelma Birdsell; her husband Cleo Johnson; her son Kyle Johnson; and her son-in-law Steve Gazda.

She is survived by : her children, Darice Mullins (Lynn) of Jackson, Darren Johnson (Donna) of Jackson and Dana Johnson (Robin) of Omaha; her sister Sheri Kolling of Des Moines; and her siblings-in-law, Jeff Johnson (Phyllis) of Spirit Lake, Bruce Johnson (Jan) of Spirit Lake and Ruby Bradshaw (Perry) of Des Moines. She is also survived by twelve grandkids.
