It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Ahrens Larson of Story City, Iowa, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fred Ahrens Larson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Boyd and Naomi Fae Larson (Ahrens); his wife Virginia Larson; and his brothers, Peter John and Chad.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Jane Jackson; his children, John Strasil-Larson (Erin) of Omaha, Peter J Larson (Joanna) of Clive and Carrie Black (Steven) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Howard, Evan, Lena Maye, Viola, George and Louis; and his stepsons, Renny and Matt Jackson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Homewood Golf Course Clubhouse (401 E 20th St, Ames, IA 50010).
