He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth Furst Hulshizer (Meyer) and Martin A. Furst. He is survived by: his daughter Cortney Rae; his wife Joan Underbakke; his children, Brett of Ankeny, Dena and Rick of Des Moines; and his brother Martin (Rita).
Their most memorable was their, "COVID 50th," celebrated outdoors with family.
Memorials will be given to Elim Lutheran Church and the City of Randall.
