It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Weigel of Strawberry Point, Iowa, born in Manchester, Iowa, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Weigel and Germaine Weigel (Drees); his sisters, Kathy Gorkow, Marjean Billhorn and Marilyn Corcoran; his siblings-in-law, Sandy and Fred Ries; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Catherine Kruse.
He is survived by: his wife Deb Weigel of Strawberry Point; his daughters, Mica Geistkemper (Josh) of Manchester, Ciara Rave (Spencer) of Manchester and Tessa Weigel (Kyle Kelchen) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Harper, Harlow, Briggs Geistkemper, Blayr, Crew Rave and Ava Besch; his siblings, Wilma Billhorn (Steve), LuAnn McQuillen of Manchester, LaVonne "Lovey" Guetzko of Olathe, Kansas and Joe Weigel (Anna) of Manchester; and his brothers-in-law, Lance Billhorn of Manchester, Lee Kruse (Patti) of Lancaster and Chris Kruse (Pam) of Earlville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
