She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harry Max and Mary Raines (Gribbons) of Virginia; her former husband Dan Joseph Townsend; her children, Dawn Hendrickson (Phil) of Mt. Pleasant and Pat Townsend (Stephanie Bates) of Castle Rock, CO; her brother Tom Eugene Raines of New Mexico; and her grandchildren, Jake, Brett and Samantha Townsend.
