She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Low and Margaret Low (Kriegel); her husband Richard Joseph Balvin; her daughter Debi Sherrod; her brothers, George Lowe and Marvin "Bud" Low; her brother-in-law Robert Balvin; and her daughter-in-law Vanessa Balvin.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bazal (Lonnie) of Cedar Rapids, David Balvin of Cedar Rapids and Scott Balvin (Irene) of Cibolo, TX; her son-in-law Jim Sherrod of Rockledge, FL; her grandchildren, Devon Stenlake, Brandon Bazal (Kori), Kristen Spinler (Kevin), Kevin Balvin (Danielle), Stephanie Balvin, Stacie Colborn (James) and Sidney Balvin; her great grandchildren, Kamrie, Hannah, Haley, Andrew, Caleb, Kathy, Dominic, Layla, Hunter and Kaden; and her sisters, Phyllis Wallace of Marshalltown, Delores Keys of Marshalltown and Sharon.
