She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph F. Kriz and Christina Kriz (Kadrmas); her husband Donald Carlson of Joseph's Rectory; her son-in-law John Groenenboom; her siblings, Pauline, Melvin, Joe R., Ludwig, Alfred and Frank Kriz; her siblings-in-law, Betty Kriz, Marcella Kriz, Donna Kriz and James Breja; and her nephews, Joey M. Kriz and Alan J. Breja.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Carlson (Nancy) of Tama, Dawn Troutner (Andy) of Melbourne, Elizabeth Groenenboom (Mike Jesina) of Chelsea, John Carlson (Christina) of Belle Plaine and Mary Blocker of Tama; and her sister Martha Breja of Vining. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home (209 E 7th St, Tama, IA 52339). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to St. Wenceslaus Oratory Church in Clutier.
