She was predeceased by : her parents, John William Benton and Letha Myrtle Pratt Benton; her husband Dale Eugene "Jim" Kohl; her son Stanley Kohl; and her siblings, Dorothy Richards, Ronald Benton, Alva Benton, Robert Benton and Charles Benton.

She is survived by : her daughters, Diane Kohl of Coralville, Jenny Rahn (Jim) of Cedar Valley and Debra Kohl Weber (Kim) of Tipton; and her daughter-in-law Sheryl Mullen of Stanwood, Iowa. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
