Josephine Goodwin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine Goodwin of Urbandale, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Josephine's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Josephine's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Jacob Stapleton and Lurley Mae Stapleton (Litz); and her husband Nathan Goodwin. She is survived by: her son Roger Duane Goodwin. She is also survived by two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gospel Assembly Church (7135 Meredith Dr, Urbandale, IA 50322). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery (1 NE 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
