She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald D. "Bud" Powers and Bonnie Powers of Kellerton; her parents-in-law, Carl and Velda Fenton of Osceola; and her brother Ronnie Powers of Harlan.

She is survived by: her husband Carl "Ed" Fenton; her children, Joel (Aileen) of Urbandale and Kelly Coleman (Scott) of Urbandale; her grandchildren, Maxwell Fenton of Iowa City, Alexandra Fenton of St. Louis, MO, Lindsay Coleman of Waukee, Jackson Coleman of Urbandale and Abigail "Abby" Coleman of Urbandale; her sister-in-law Betty Powers of Harlan; and her friends, Lila Riley of Urbandale and Alice Minthorn Hall of Overland Park, KS..
