We are sad to announce that on January 22, 2021 we had to say goodbye to David A. Backus of Ventura, Iowa, born in Thorp, Wisconsin. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Lloyd and Mildred Adela Backus (Billington); his brother Paul Backus; and his nephew Joshua Campbell. He is survived by : his wife Carol of Ventura; his daughter Sarah Backus of Phoenix, AZ; his sister Susan Backus of Denver, CO; his niece Rebecca Caldwell (Travis) of Denver, CO; and his great-niece Lucy.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration service will be held at a later date at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of Dave to Central Gardens of North Iowa, Mayo Clinic or Young America's Foundation.
