He was predeceased by: his brother Craig; his parent-in-law Huck Runyan; his brother-in-law Herb Peshel; Marge Runyan. He is survived by: his wife Andrea; his children, Kiffany Mahood, Emily Oldfather (Corey), Eric Petersen and Evan Petersen; his grandchildren, Ethan Horak and Cade Oldfather; his sister Karen Peshel; and his siblings-in-law, Pam Petersen, Beth Runyan and Steve Runyan (Jama). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Auburn American Legion, and the Vinton Public Library.
