He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Michael and Elizabeth Reuter Michael; his spouse Betty Hess; and his siblings, Joseph, Edward, Raymond Michael, Theresa Oberreuter and Virginia Thoman.

He is survived by: his children, Jerry Michael (Jacki), Cathy Clouse (Jeff), Barb Rogers (Kevin) and Lisa Winsor (Jeff); his brother Bernard Michael (Sandra); and his close friend Clementine Hoffman.
