She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sanborn and Orpha Sanborn (Evans); her husbands, Guy Abernathey and Harry Peters; her children, Buck Abernathey and Loretta Ferguson; her grandchildren, Mark, Lisa and Cecelia; and her siblings, June Henkle, Leotta Gotsch, Lucille Wiggins and Ray Keller.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Abernathey (Linda) of Newhall and Dean Abernathey (Berta) of Grand Rapids, MN; her daughter-in-law Zybel Abernathey of Vinton; her grandchildren, Dr. Chad, Chet, Dawn, Cord, Corena, Jeff, Chip, Scott, Bethel, Kent, Clint and Curt; and her sister Rosie Patrilla. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
