He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alpers and Mabel Alpers (McItyre); and his siblings, Roy Alpers, Lester Alpers, Harold Alpers, Stanley Alpers, Lucille Cole, Ruth Lyons, Mildred Fowler, Mae Wilhelmi and Joann Schrage.
He is survived by: his brothers-in-law, Donald Wilhelmi of Atkins and Orville Schrage of Vinton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
