He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Otis and Opal Marie Satterfield (Cameron); his sister Wilma Scott (Fred); his parents-in-law, Oral and George Johnson; his son-in-law John Kessell; and his sister-in-law Beverly Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Satterfield of Washington, Iowa; his daughters, Loree Stogdill (Ken) of Crawfordsville, IA and Krista Kessell of Washington, Iowa; his granddaughter Elizabeth Steele; his great grandchild Zayden Liles of Lone Tree, Iowa; his grandchildren, Paul Steele of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Taylor Stogdill (Mandi); his great grandchildren, Tayte, Rylee and Jaelyn of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; his grandchild Kelly Stogdill (Kenzie); his great grandchildren, Nolan, Corbin and Lucy of Washington, Iowa; his granddaughter Jamie Schlee (Steve); his great grandchildren, Kelsi, Austin, Cooper and Maxwell of Farmersburg, Iowa.; and his sister-in-law Lyla Lindquist (Tom) of Maryville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County, Immanuel Lutheran Church of Washington or the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown.
