He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Edward and Alma Josephine Dempsey (Johnson); and his brother Lewis "Jack" Dempsey. He is survived by : his wife Vicki Dempsey of Washington, IA; his children, Susan Dempsey and Daniel Dempsey; his brother Jerry Dempsey; and his nephew Bruce Dempsey. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
