He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin E. Sr and Julia M. Grady Sorensen, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley of Waterloo; his daughter Polly Sorensen of Waterloo; and his siblings, Dale Sorensen of Dallas and Arlene Tharp of Blaine. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
