She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Waddell and Lyla Ruth Stripes Waddell; her husband John "Jack" Ransom May; and her daughter Leann Scott. She is survived by: her sons, James Ransom (Janet) of Royal and Jeff Ransom (Sue) of Dubuque; and her brother Warren Waddell (Dorothy) of Waterloo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
