With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Elaine Herman of Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on July 31, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Cornelius Christianson and Hilma Cornelia Larson Christianson; her husband Alton Earl Herman; her children, David, John and Mary; and her siblings-in-law, Anaruth, Karl Bechtel, Ione, Norman Rema, Hilmen, Lillian Christianson, Clifton Christianson, Virgil Herman, Delton, Maggie Kruse, Virgil Christianson and Larry McGuire.
She is survived by : her sons, Ron Herman (Beverly) of Iowa City, IA, Don Herman (Linda) of Waukon, Dennis Herman (Julie) of Lansing, IA and Dewey Herman (Tina) of Decorah, IA.; her siblings, Carmen Christianson (Margaret) of Preston, MN, Norman Christianson (Gayle) of Vallejo, CA and Vivian Benjegerdes (Dave) of Postville, IA; and her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Christianson of Waukon, Darlena Herman of Waukon, Shirley Rosendahl (Chuck) of La Crescent, MN and Arleen McGuire of Hiawatha, IA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
