With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wally Johnson of Waukon, Iowa, born in Newell, Iowa, who passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Johnson and Della Johnson (Santage); his son Randy; and his siblings, June Eno and Andy Johnson.
He is survived by : his former life partner Carole Melberg; his children, Tom Johnson (Gail) of Cross Plains, WI, Cindy Schellhammer (Larry) of Lansing, IA and Ann Wilding (Isaac Leitz) of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Matt Johnson (Rebekah) of Iowa City, IA, John Schellhammer of Lansing, IA, Maria Anderson (Scott), Leah Runyan (Tony) of Cedar Falls, IA and Kaia Brunso of Seattle, WA; his great grandchildren, Micah, Mathias, Max Johnson, Abby and Tate Anderson; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Liv Runyan. He is also survived by his niece and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon in consideration of concerns regarding Covid-19.
