It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Jean Bohner of Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carolyn Jean Bohner to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Harvey Schmidt and Esther Schmidt (Stoxen); her husband Melvin Bohner; her sister JoAnn Voss; and her close friend Jerry Backer.

She is survived by : her children, Mark Bohner of Tripoli, Nancy Kappmeyer (Kenny) of Waverly, Kim Bohner of Waverly, Michael Bohner (Corinne) of Cedar Rapids and Matthew Bohner of Clarksville; her brothers, Doug Schmidt (Pat) of Clarksville and Dan Schmidt (Pat) of Clarksville; and her brother-in-law Jerry Voss of Clarksville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
