With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark Wayne Wofford of North English, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Geraldine Wofford (Kinzie) of Albuquerque, N. M.; his brother Ricky Wofford of Seville, OH.; his father-in-law John Young of Perkasie, PA; and his brother-in-law Mark Young of Eyota, MN.. He is survived by: his father Durwood Wofford of Lubbock, TX.; his wife Gae Wofford (Young); his children, Jena Caster (Luke) and Jon Mark Wofford; his grandchildren, Kaylynn of North English, IA., Ashton of North English, IA., Canton of North English, IA., Layton of North English, IA., Evelynn of North English, IA., Hadlynn of North English, IA. and Teslynn Caster of North English, IA.; his mother-in-law Florence Young of Perkasie, PA.; his siblings-in-law, J. David Young (Heather) of Highlands Ranch, CO., Timothy Young (Kathi) of Richlandtown, PA. and Gretchen Young of Ankeny, IA.; and his sisters, Nora Jean, Lanore and Carol Wofford of Albuquerque, N. M.. He is also survived by his co-workers as a hard worker and loyal friend, and by his children and grandchildren as a loving dad and pop-pop.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home-North English (116 W Broad St, North English, IA 52316). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North English Christian Church (131 N Howard St, North English, IA 52316).
A general memorial fund has been established.
