It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred (Middy) I. Deegan in West Branch, Iowa, who passed away on June 1, 2020, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Woolston and Sylvia Woolston (Harris); her husband Basil Deegan August; and her daughter Kay Mescher of Iowa City. She is survived by: her children, Karen "Dee" Vanderhoef (Peter) of Iowa City and William Michael Deegan (Lek) of Morino Valley, California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Spencer Children's Theatre Foundation, or the Spencer Congregational Church.
