He is survived by: his children, Robert Bauer (Lori) of Washington, Iowa, Vicky Showalter (Don) of Coralville, Iowa, Jane Beranek (Jim) of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Judy Showalter of Kalona; and his grandchildren, Chris Bauer (Jody), Matt Bauer (Bethany), Melissa Kahler (Scott), Brent Showalter (April), Jami Beranek (Ryan Beckman), Jonna Junker (Zach), Jenni Cunningham (Ryan), Jessi Beranek, Annie Gingerich (Luke), Chad Showalter (Sarah) and Josh Showalter (Katie). He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren.
