He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur T. Johnson and Edna Johnson; and his sister Audrey Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Wanda; and his children, Roschelle Robertson (Josh), Amy Gaumer (Gene), Orlando Mitchell and Andrea Johnson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hope Ministries.
